Care About Angus is looking for people to join its Board of Directors

We are recruiting for Volunteer Directors

If you share our objectives, support the range of services we deliver and have a passion for Care and enabling people to continue living independently in their own community, this opportunity might be for you.

Care About Angus (CAA) is a Community Interest Company operating across Angus, employing a total of 40 people. It is a not for profit organisation.

CAA offers an enhanced home support service to over 500 clients. CAA is registered with the Care Inspectorate for housing support in the home and services offered include cleaning, laundry, ‘pop in’ visiting, morning calls, shopping, simple meal preparation, social activities and support for Carers.

CAA also offers a voluntary befriending service, giving friendship and companionship to a range of individuals and their families.

We are working to expand our client base in both these areas, particularly in supporting discharge from and preventing admission to hospital.

Our mission is to enable people to retain their independence and remain in their own homes for as long as possible. This is reflected in the wide spread of services which we have on offer. We aim to support all ages with a wide range of health and wellbeing needs across the whole of Angus.

We currently have experienced Board Members on CAA’s governing body; however we are looking to expand and strengthen our Board with new members who can add their skills, experience and knowledge to support us in achieving our objectives. All CAA Board Members are unpaid volunteers.

CAA is particularly looking for new members with skills, knowledge and experience in the areas of

  • Care Services

  • Business Development

  • Social Enterprise

  • Learning and Development

  • Digital skills

  • Marketing

  • Financial management & accountancy

  • Legal Services

  • Performance management

We would welcome applications from people who have an interest in our work and are willing to devote time to the organisation. There is also the opportunity for applicants to enhance their own professional development through actively participating as a voluntary Board Member.

If you have experience in any of the above areas, support our objectives and would be interested in becoming a Board Member of CAA , please contact Mark Rogers, General Manager, at The Cross, Forfar, DD8 1BB, Tel – 01241 797777 or email
